Open Letter: “Dear KMU, when you run the numbers”

It’s okay to express your grievances but to harass a foreign company and disrupt its operation which resulted to its foreclosure and adding 300 more Filipinos on the unemployed section is just pure bullshit.
When you run the numbers, you have made their families deeper on the poverty line without those jobs that provided them their daily means and dreams. What will happen now to their kids who would start attending their classes this week? San sila kukuha ng baon? Magbibigay ba kayo?
But when you run the numbers even more, it’s not only about those 300 Nakashin workers and their families. There are also those Filipino farmers where the Nakashin Company is buying their farm products ready to be exported to countries such as Japan, Spain, Portugal and England.
The Nakashin firm currently export Php1.5 billion worth of farm fruits from Filipino farmers yearly and they have chosen us as their partners in this fast-changing world and surely they would leave this country and pick Thailand or Vietnam instead.
Di natin sila kailangan? Pinoy pride is bullshit.
Where would we export those fruits now? Where would we get those Php1.5 billion yearly economic gains?
And when we dig deeper even more… Nakashin firm is a Japanese firm, what happened to them is surely the talk of the town on Japanese businessmen here in the Philippines and in Japan.
And surely they won’t want to hear that some communist-front organization has just been successful in bringing down a Japanese firm doing business in the Philippines.
It’s not about the 300 workers or those Filipino farmers anymore, it’s already about the whole Philippines.
